Turn client bank statement PDFs into Xero import files — and check nothing is missing.
Carrytick is a document conversion tool for bookkeeping and accounting firms on Xero outside the US and Canada — the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore and beyond — where Xero doesn’t convert PDF statements. Drop one statement or a run of months. We check every row against the printed balance, look for missing pages and gaps between statements, and give you a Xero CSV plus a reconciliation summary for the client file.
No statement to hand? Download a made-up sample and drop it in.
- Every row checked. Each transaction is checked against the running balance printed on the statement. A misread row is highlighted with the balance we expected and the one on the statement.
- Nothing missing. Opening and closing balances must add up, every printed page must be there, and each statement must carry on from the last with no missing period.
- A summary for the client file. One page per run: period, opening, in, out, closing and what needs review. Save it or print it to PDF.
- Xero-ready CSV. Xero’s bank statement columns and dd/mm/yyyy dates, straight into Import a statement. QuickBooks Online CSV is there too.
- Statements from around the world. Debit and credit columns or one signed amount; CR/DR balances; 1,234.56, 1.234,56 and 1 234,56; £, €, R, $ and codes like GBP, AUD, NZD, EUR, ZAR, SGD; dates like 03/03/2026, 03.03.2026, 2026-03-03 or 03 Mar 2026. Xero’s own PDF conversion is only available in the US and Canada.
- No install, nothing uploaded. It runs in your browser on any computer. The PDFs are read on your device. How we handle data.
